Creating Event Listings

You will need to provide the following for an event:

  1. Title of your event. The question mark will open the help documentation in a new window.

  2. Select the start and end date for your event. Your listing will show on the calendar on the dates that the event is active.

  3. If your event repeats, but not every day for a block of time, click the Add another item button to add custom repeating dates.

  4. Add the additional dates as required. Each event date and time will list separately on both the listing and in the calendar.

  5. Select the associated reception, if applicable. This will create a link in your listing to the reception.
The drop-down will list any receptions that you have created. If you have not created an associated reception for your event yet, you can save your current event, create the reception, then return to the event and select the reception afterwards.

  6. Select the associated exhibition, if applicable. This is useful for receptions and artist talks that are related to an event. This functions like the associated reception field, and only shows exhibitions you have created.

  7. Select the event type and region for your listing.

  8. Provide the event's details (remember to include contact information), using the text editor, which allows you to insert images.

  9. Attach files, if required

  10. Schedule your listing for publishing, if desired

  11. If you want to bookmark the listing you created, you can check the Bookmark this box. All of your submitted content will also show in your My Content page.

  12. For basic individual or institutional accounts, the default status for your submission is Pending Approval. This will move the listing to the submission queue for the Culture Blast administrators to review and publish. If you are not ready for your submission to be published, change the status to Draft.

If you have a pre-approved account and want to keep it in draft, change Published to unchecked and save your changes.

If you have a pre-approved account and are ready to publish your content, go to the next step.

  13. Preview or Save your changes. Remember to Save your changes if you decide to Preview the listing first.
