When people ask us what exactly I Heart Video Art is, we like to say that is like a hybrid of a video art gallery and sports bar. It is a congenial, comfortable atmosphere where people can eat drink and mingle, surrounded by up to sixteen video screens simultaneously projecting some of the best in contemporary video art. We like nachos and beer with our video art. You got a problem with that?
CAFKA is pleased to announce that the third installment of I Heart Video Art will take place at THEMUSEUM on October 22 as part of this year's Grand River Film Festival. Curated by CAFKA’s Artistic Director Rob Ring, the evening will feature video works by Almerinda Travassos & Margaret Moores, Steve Reinke & Jessie Mott, Geoffrey Pugen, John Greyson, Zak Tatham, Terril Calder, Christiana Latham, Ariel Smith, Jenn E. Norton and Bear Witness & A Tribe Called Red.
Friday, October 22, 8 p.m.
THEMUSEUM, 10 King Street West, Kitchener
Admission: $20, CAFKA members and students $15. 10% off for ticket purchases for groups of four or more. Tickets are available for purchase by PayPal at www.iheartvideoart.com, or at Orange Monkey Music, Gen X Video and THEMUSEUM.
